The io-key represents a groundbreaking, complete solution for transmitting sensor data from any location wirelessly to an IoT-Cloud, where it can be managed and processed.

As an all-in-one solution, the io-key is used especially for monitoring applications where real-time transmission of measured values is not the primary concern. This is the case, for example, with level and temperature monitoring and for pump or fan diagnostics.
io-key transmits all data directly from the process
Setting up the io-key is very easy and requires neither parameterisation nor a complex infrastructure. There is also no need for indirect data transmission via a PLC to a Cloud. The information is transmitted without data loss directly from the process to the software environment. This eliminates the high initial investment required with conventional solutions.
First of all, you need a cellular network. Then simply connect the device to a 24 V power supply and connect it to up to two IO-Link capable sensors via an M12 connection cable each. According to the plug and play principle, all available sensor data and functional options are then immediately accessible in the Cloud. In addition, the multi-client Cloud automatically shows you the appropriate display for the connected sensor type. However, if you wish, you can customize your dashboard.

The io-key is compatible with over 10,000 IO-Link sensors from over 200 manufacturers. This results in a variety of possible applications. Three of these applications are presented below.

1) In conjunction with IO-Link capable vibration sensors, io-keys can, for example, simplify remote maintenance and servicing of your application. The vibrations recorded by the sensors are sent to the Cloud in real time and enable to quickly identify machine movements that deviate from the norm. This allows you to take preventive measures – before a plant standstill occurs!
2) Do you want to be kept informed of the temperature of the water in a tank or pipe? Then simply connect the io-key to a temperature sensor and you will be informed of temperature changes. Water that is too hot or too cold is a thing of the past.
