Main contactors

Main contactors are mechanical contactors with a high switching capacity that are used for controlling motors. Solid state contactors, however, work with faster switching times and avoid possible wear because they operate electronically and not mechanically. Solid-state reversing contactors are suited to reverse the direction of three-phase current motors. All types of main contactors are available with AC and DC control voltage. The three-phase contactors are equipped with auxiliary contacts to return the signals to the controller.
