The SIMATIC HMI Unified Comfort operating panels are available in sizes ranging from 7 to 21.5 inches. Here, the size the users chooses has no impact on the functional scope of the panel, since all sizes offer the same number of hardware interfaces and functions. The selection simply comes down to which screen size best meets your respective requirements. As such, there is no need for compromises, and the panels can adapt to the spatial requirements at the place of use.

Increased performance capacity, for fluent communication with machines

Performance capacity has once again been significantly increased in comparison to older models. The system limits have been at least doubled and in some cases even tripled. This now makes it possible to quickly and simple run even much more complex applications on a single panel system.

The runtime is based on tried and tested native web technologies, such as HTML5, SVG, and JavaScript. This not only delivers reliable performance, but also makes the development and maintenance of applications much simpler, since the panels are guaranteed to fulfil the specified requirements regarding performance and reliability.

With these panels, comfort is not a word that is used lightly. For comfort and intuitive operation formed such a central role during the development of the latest generation of SIMATIC panels that they even bear the word Comfort in their name.

Of course, Siemens knows that industrial working environments are subject to special requirements. Therefore, safe operation with standard work gloves has already been thoroughly considered. The intelligent software also supports the detection of operating areas and ensures that no settings are accidentally changed or machine commands unintentionally issued, e.g. when resting your wrists on the panel.

New WinCC Unified programming software

The revolutionary WinCC Unified programming software in the TIA portal from Siemens has also undergone an upgrade. It also enables the creation of components that can be used both on PC systems and on the SIMATIC HMI Unified Comfort Panels, as part of the WinCC Unified systems. This does away with time-consuming work steps when replicating already-created components and project-planning need only be performed once.

In addition, the software has been especially developed to handle large quantities of data. For the use of an increasing number of devices and larger data quantities, as well as the need to make this data available to both internal and external IT departments, poses a major challenge for many companies. As an integration platform between these platforms, WinCC Unified serves as the ideal interface.
